Nice to e-meet you!
I am Viraj, a Master's student in Information Systems at Pace University, graduating in May 2025.
My passion for management
While I appreciate coding and the logic behind it, I realized that, although I am good at it, it isn't my true calling. What truly drives me is the excitement of tackling problems and finding ingenious solutions. For me, management is an extension of this problem-solving mindset, with an added layer of creativity.
Problem Solving as a Core Philosophy
Managing a product is more than just checking off tasks; it's about creating a story and seeing it through to a successful ending. I think every project has its own unique tale, and my job is to make sure it's both interesting and successful.
Beyond Work
When I'm not busy with design or technical stuff, you'll usually find me traveling, taking photos, or getting into a new FIFA challenge. I absolutely hate losing, and I love watching Manchester United play. These activities not only help me recharge but also inspire my creativity, patience, and belief and keep me curious.
The Journey!
With a background in Electronics & telecommunication, my journey began with an interest in understanding how systems work at a core level. I took this knowledge further during my work as a Business Analyst & also as a Software Engineer where I did code of course! & analyzed datasets. My passion for solving complex tech problems, combined with my hands on experience, naturally guided me towards management.
So why Viraj?
I am someone who confidently manages & guides teams while remaining open to new ideas. I am technically sound in various database management as well as programming languages. I value thorough research & do not pursue tasks without purpose. I handle situations calmly & empathetically. Organized & methodical in my daily life, excelling in predictive analysis with practical applications. So yes, that's me.
Transitioning my career path
I've learned a lot from my current major and previous roles, and it has really influenced how I approach design. Making me good at picking up new ideas and solving problems, even ones that are outside of my expertise. I also have a knack for storytelling, which helps me explain the vision and purpose behind each project. BTW, I made this chair from cardboard in one of my classes.
